The Team Behind
the Red Alert
Red Alert is brought to global screens by a team of world-class storytellers.
About Lawrence Bender
“I’ve been fortunate to produce films that resonated with audiences worldwide, but Red Alert< is deeply personal. It tells the story of my own people, and of a day that changed everything. What makes it so powerful is that it isn’t just drama — it’s real. At a time when some are questioning or forgetting what happened, it felt vital to capture the truth with authenticity and cinematic power. The courage, the heartbreak, the resilience — I’m proud that these stories will be seen and remembered around the world.”
Lawrence Bender is an Oscar-nominated producer behind some of the most influential films of the past three decades, including Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Kill Bill, and Inglourious Basterds. He also produced the Academy Award–winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth and Hacksaw Ridge. Through his company Bender Brown Productions, he has produced acclaimed television including Roswell, New Mexico and Flesh and Bone.
About Lior Chefetz
“As a filmmaker, I felt compelled to tell the story of a nation shaken to its core. In the first weeks, I was consumed—my daughter began to stutter, the son of her kindergarten teacher was murdered. I journeyed south, met survivors, cried with them. I witnessed unfathomable atrocities—and unimaginable bravery and selflessness. Our vision was clear: to highlight the power of kindness, altruism, and sacrifice. This is not just a television show—this is a testament to the extraordinary hope and resilience within all of us.”
Lior Chefetz is an award-winning writer-director whose work spans film, television, and shorts. He created and directed The Stronghold, a five-part war drama commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War. His feature Sky Raiders was released theatrically to wide acclaim, and he co-wrote Lionsgate’s action-thriller Doorman, starring Ruby Rose and Jean Reno. Chefetz has also written for Line in the Sand (from Fauda’s Rotem Shamir), The Grave, and Separated.
